Beatles Cavern Club photographs to auction at annual sale

Two photographs of the Beatles performing at The Cavern Club are expected to make £1,400-1,600 ($2,350-2,685) each at the Liverpool Beatles Auction.

The sale will take place in the city on August 23.

Beatles Cavern
The Beatles began their career playing in Liverpool's Cavern Club

The lots show the band playing live at the venue in 1961 with pre-Ringo drummer Pete Best, shortly after their return from Hamburg (they wear the black leather jackets they adopted in Germany).

Both images are sold alongside their copyright and one remains unpublished.
