Walt Disney's will and testament to make $60,000?

Walt Disney's will and testament is selling at Profiles in History on December 9.

The document is set to be one of the highlights of the Animation and Disneyania auction on December 9.

Walt Disney executed this will on August 7, 1941

It was executed in LA on August 7, 1941.

Disney leaves 50% of the company (he owned a 60% share) to his two daughters and the other 50% to his employees' bonus pool.

However, it was cancelled by the drawing up of a new will in 1942 (and again in 1951).

Disney was in financial difficulties at the time, following a protracted animator's strike and the impact of the second world war on box office takings.

The lot is valued at $40,000-60,000.

We have this copy of Walt Disney's America signed by some of the studio's most important animators and voice actors.

Other highlights include a Jack Skellington maquette and coffin sleigh from classic Tim Burton animated movie The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The lot consists of the sleigh and a trash can that appear in the film, along with a maquette used for reference.

It's one of only a handful of pieces from the film to appear at auction.

A piece of the graveyard set, along with a stop-motion Sally puppet, realised $29,280 at a sale held by Bonhams in LA in 2011.
