A hero suit from recent blockbuster Spider-Man: Homecoming has raised $41,000 for children’s charity Toys for Tots.

The foundation is operated by the US Marine Corps and provides Christmas gifts to children from poorer backgrounds.

Colonel Ted Silvester, vice president of the Toys for Tots Foundation, said: "Finding a present under the tree on Christmas morning is an experience every child deserves.

"With this generous support, we will be able to fulfil the Christmas holiday dreams of less fortunate children who otherwise might be forgotten."
