Maureen O'Hara's Quiet Man script makes $50,000

Actress Maureen O'Hara's personal script for classic movie The Quiet Man (1952) has made $50,000 at Bonhams.

It was the star of the sale of her estate on November 29.

The Quiet Man was one of five films Maureen O'Hara worked on with John Ford and John Wayne

John Ford directed the feature, which stars John Wayne alongside O'Hara. It's one of five films the trio worked on together.

O'Hara was born in County Dublin and has written various changes to the script to make the lines more authentically Irish.

For example, "You talk big" is changed to "It's big talk you have".

She also throws in a few Gaelic swear words: "shee-a-pock—whore / goshthereen—big mistake (In Galway for bastard)".
