Julien's Auctions has pulled a number of VHS casting tapes from its forthcoming Hollywood Legends Auction (April 5-6), following a dispute with the Casting Society of America (SAG-AFTRA).
The audition tapes, which star Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Lisa Kudrow, Julianne Moore and Helen Hunt, among others, will remain private.

"We're cancelling the auction out of respect for the concerns expressed," company chief, Darren Julien, commented.
"They did not represent a big part of this auction and we want to maintain a good relationship with those actors."
SAG-AFTRA general counsel Duncan Crabtree-Ireland asserted: "Auditions are not public performances."
The audition tapes included DiCaprio's audition for the role of Ponyboy Curtis in the 1990 television series The Outsiders, Keanu Reeves reading for a role in Backdraft with the film's director Ron Howard, and a tearful Nicole Kidman auditioning for Shattered.
"Even though a lot of the actors didn't mind them being sold, we decided it's not worth potentially damaging some relationships for a few thousand dollars," Darren Julien told the Daily News.
Christopher Reeve's Superman costume, and a William Shatner-used Star Wars laser gun will still go under the hammer alongside a plethora of exciting lots come April 5.
We have an extensive range of film memorabilia at Paul Fraser Collectibles.
