Tom Hiddleston Converse trainers make $7,500 for Small Steps Project

A pair of Converse trainers signed by British actor Tom Hiddleston have sold for ?�4,500 ($7,339) at an auction of celebrity shoes.

The actor, best known for his roles in Thor and the Avengers, donated the shoes along with a signed headshot.

The sale took place to raise money for the Small Steps Project, which raises money for children living on rubbish dumps around the world.

Celebrities that donated shoes included Natalie Portman, Mick Jagger and Kylie Minogue.
