Lady Penelope is one of the main characters in children's TV show Thunderbirds

Thunderbirds is a hugely popular children's TV show, created by Gerry Anderson, that first aired during the 1960s.

The lot has undergone extensive alterations since the show debuted in 1964. The neck rod has been replaced, the face has been repainted and while the arms, legs and body are original, they are believed to date to around 1968.

Another Lady Penelope puppet sold for ?33,600 ($51,215) at Bonhams in 2011.

A guitar played by Coldplay's Chris Martin during the recording of the band's debut album Parachutes (2000) is valued at ?7,000-9,000 ($10,663-13,710).

Bonhams comments: "This important guitar was catalogued as Chris's very first guitar used with Coldplay in the original Ebay auction.

"It was purchased from Bill Greenhalgh's music shop in Chris's hometown of Exeter. According to Coldplay Chris took this guitar with him when he moved to London for University at UCL in September 1996Ǫ

"This guitar was used by Martin during the composition of many of Coldplay's earliest songs and used during the recording of their pioneering debut album Parachutes 1999-2001."

It sold for $13,000 in 2009.
