A fantastic one-sheet poster for the Three Stooges' 1935 short Uncivil Warriors has seen outstanding bids as part of Robert Edward Auctions' Spring 2014 auction, which closed on April 27.

Given the era in which they were created and ephemeral nature, original Three Stooges posters are rare and highly coveted by collectors. With Uncivil Warriors considered one of the Three Stooges' finest films - their eighth for Columbia - the poster made $47,500.
The posted topped a remarkable collection of Stooges posters and lobby cards, which is one of the finest seen at auction in recent years. The second highest bids, at $8,000, were seen by a lobby card for 1934's Men in Black, which was originally obtained from Moe Howard's daughter.
Also selling at $8,000 was a one-sheet for 1938's Mutts to You.

At the top of the auction was an 1874 cigar advertising display poster featuring George Wright of the Boston Red Stockings, which is considered the earliest American poster bearing an endorsement by a sporting figure.
