A Polish Solidarnosc (Solidarity) party banner is expected to make $10,000-15,000 at Heritage Auctions in Dallas on April 9.

The piece dates to the formation of the party in the aftermath of a shipyard strike in Gdansk in the early 1980s. As the eastern bloc countries transitioned from communism, the party went on to lead a coalition.
It displays signatures from world leaders (including Margaret Thatcher, Henry Kissinger, Vaclav Havel and George HW Bush) and formerly hung in the party's headquarters.
