Paul Fraser welcomes James Bly to the Expert Panel

With the background of one of the most famous names in the antiques world and unrivalled networks we are delighted to welcome James Bly to our Expert Panel.

James will be providing tips and advice for any clients interested in quality antiques.

You can read his first article here. "How to make sure your antiques survive the rigours of Christmas"

Like the four generations behind him, James has grown up in a family antiques business.

Surrounded by wonderful period items in the showroom and at home, he has developed an instinctive appreciation and a keen eye when it comes to furnishing interiors.

James has built on over a hundred years of experience and knowledge using all aspects of the decorative arts to create superb room settings for clients.

For many years James managed the London gallery and organised all national and international exhibitions and fairs for the family business.

During this time at the top end of the trade he dealt with some of the most exceptional items and exacting clients, advising and supplying some of the worlds' leading collectors, museums, and interior designers.

James has built up a unique network of contacts throughout the art and antiques world and because of this is able to offer an unrivalled service representing truly independent and unbiased expertise and advice.

Whether from 1690 or 1960, finding that elusive item to compliment an existing interior or working on complete home furnishing projects, James is best placed to serve clients with his knowledge of the entire market without being tied to any one company.

James is also head of the Epsilon Fund which focuses on Luxury Collectibles.
