Nelson Mandela signed photograph
Nelson Mandela is an iconic figure, and his memorabilia is always in demand

The collection includes dozens of signed items, photographs, documents and books, and is expected to raise as much as $118,000 when it sells as a single lot.

Included is the speech that Nelson delivered at the Rivonia Trial in 1964, in which he famously declared "I am prepared to die" in protest of South Africa's apartheid.

The collection celebrates many of the landmark moments in Mandela's rich history, with the only copy of Nelson's original inaugural address as president to bear his signature also featuring. A first day cover from May 10, 1994, Mandela's first day in office, is included, complete with a five rand inauguration coin.

As well as charting his political career, the collection also explores Mandela's personal life, with plenty of items co-signed by him and other celebrity names. Starring is a T-shirt, wine bottle, ticket and cap from the 90th birthday celebrations held at London's Hyde Park, which has been signed by Nelson Mandela, Will Smith and Amy Winehouse.

With Mandela an icon of the anti-apartheid movement and beloved political figure, the market for his memorabilia is strong. The PFC40 Autograph Index shows that his signature is the most valuable of any living figure at ?3,500 ($5,639).

Join the market for Mandela memorabilia with this fantastic signed photograph for sale.
