A circa 1935 mechanical Old King Cole Mickey and Minnie Mouse store display realised $29,221 at Hake's Americana & Collectibles on March 19.
Old King Cole was a papier-mache company that was among the first licensees to create Disney memorabilia. The displays are highly sought after today.

Other Disney artefacts included a black and white production cel from the 1934 short Two-Gun Mickey, which sold for $13,800.
The auction was one of Hake's biggest ever, with sales topping $1m.
Alex Winter, president of Hake's Americana, commented: "With this auction we also set a record for the number of bidders who participated, which is a testament to the strength of the collectibles industry."
Company founder Ted Hake said: "It's a wonderful time to be a collector, as so many special items that went into collections in the late 1960s through early 1980s are now coming to auction.
"There's a new generation of collectors ready to preserve these great historical and pop-culture artifacts."
We have this first edition copy of Walt Disney's America featuring illustrations and autographs from various cartoonists and voice artists.
