James Dean photograph archive featured at Premiere Props

A rare archive of 34 photographs of James Dean will feature in a sale at Premiere Props in Segundo, California on March 22.

The photographs were taken just months before Dean's death

The photographs are offered separately, each with an estimate of $1,000-3,000, and were taken by Sports Illustrated photographer and journalist Gus Vignolle in 1955.

They show Dean racing a Porsche Speedster in Palm Springs just months before he was killed in a car accident.
