A set of golf clubs that once belonged to President Donald Trump are offered at RR Auction.
It's expected to make up to $30,000 in an online sale that closes on July 12.
The TaylorMade RAC TP ForgedIrons were personally presented to Trump by TaylorMade CEO Mark King circa 2004-2005.
Trump used the golf clubs for a couple of months in the mid-2000s
The heads are engraved “D. Trump”.
Trump used them for a couple of months before replacing them.
The clubs are consigned from the collection of Andrew Lombardo, who was assistant caddie master at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey between 2004 and 2008.
He explains in a letter of provenance: “The set of Taylor Made TP Rac’s with (D. Trump) engraved on them were given to Mr. Trump by the TaylorMade CEO Mark King…the clubs were used by Mr. Trump for the rest of the season.
“The clubs were put in our bag room for the winter and next season Mr. Trump had a new set of clubs from TaylorMade…
“I waited for the right moment to ask Mr. Trump for the clubs, I personally asked Mr. Trump and he told me to ask the head pro (Mickie Gallagher), which I did and he said yes.
“I had the irons in my possession for about 11 or 12 years…”
We’ve tracked a significant growth in demand for Donald Trump memorabilia since he was elected to the White House.
In January a Trump signed bottle of GlenDronach whisky realised £7,000 ($9,091) at auction in Scotland, more than double its £3,500 ($4,545) estimate.
