Collectors and fans of the US TV series True Blood won't want to miss the "The Battle of the Fang" - an 'auction contest' by two of the show's stars which is raising money for charity.
The sale was the brainchild of co-stars Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård, who play Bill and Eric in the series about vampires and humans co-existing in a fictional small Louisiana town.
Two main items are open to bids, both currently up for sale on eBay. The first is an authentic signed script for the show's as-yet-unbroadcast season three finale episode, "Evil is Going On."

Bids on the script currently stand at $2,550 (at the time of writing). However, fans shouldn't expect to be let in on any unbroadcast secrets - the lucky winner won't have their script posted to them until late October, after the episode has been shown on TV.
Meanwhile, true to the spirit of one of television's most offbeat shows, the second item up for grabs is of a highly unusual nature...
The "Sock of destiny", as it has been called, is piece of fabric is used when filming nude scenes so that the man's 'dangling parts' are secured.

The piece has been donated by Moyer, and has also been mentioned in many interviews in the past. So far, fans of the heartthrob vampires have bid the sock's value up to $1,375.
Each actor has nominated a different charity to benefit from the sales of the items.
Skarsgård's profits will go to SOS Children's Villages, while Moyer is donating to Gulf Aid, a initiative dedicated to cleaning up the Gulf oil spill.
