They are being sold to help out the Royal Parks Foundation, which looks after and initiates projects with the eight Royal Parks in London, which are used for free by large numbers of Londoners and impressed tourists each year.
Whether it's renewing buildings for teaching courses or looking after the ducks, the Foundation works hard.
The pants, as memorabilia from a successful film, can be expected to hold a re-sale value for auction, though most of the interest won't be coming from investors in this case.
A bonus for the buyer - and not one that Jones herself would be likely to overlook - is that the pants come with a bottle of champagne.
