Audrey Hepburn's Givenchy hat auctions for $46,500

A Givenchy hat worn by Audrey Hepburn has sold for $46,250 at Bonhams' Entertainment Memorabilia auction in Los Angeles.

Hepburn wore the Givenchy hat for a Vogue photo shoot in 1964

The lot achieved a 208.3% increase on a $15,000 high estimate on May 4.

Hepburn wore it for an appearance in American Vogue in 1964 while promoting the film version of My Fair Lady. It is described by the magazine as "bright jade green velvet with tassels of cut feathers, crystal beads (Miss Hepburn is mad about this one, plans to wear it often for late day and small dinners)."
