James D Julia's March sale of antique firearms and militaria weaponry will include the HH Thomas Collection of rare Boutet pistols.
Boutet was one of the finest gunsmiths to ever live. Operating out of Versailles, he was contracted by Napoleon and various other notables in France to produce extraordinary firearms.
Many of these were presented to high-ranking officials, and are now up for auction.

Also included in the sale is an outstanding offering of rare Colt firearms.
These include an important historic gold and engraved SA, presented to Robert Meldrum from the Tomboy Mining Co.
Winchester rifles and rare military specimens swill also appear among the lots.
The auction will be held in Fairfield, Maine in the US.
