A knife carried by one of the elite SEAL Team Six members during the 2011 raid on Osama Bin Laden has sold in a charity auction to raise money for the family of another dead SEAL.

The knife sold for $35,400. It was consigned by SEAL Team Six member Matt Bissonette, who - under the pen name Mark Owen - published the book No Easy Day in 2012, describing the mission.
The knife was originally given to Bissonette by Ernest Emerson, owner of California based Emerson Knives. Bissonette carried it on missions around the world for eight years before he took it on the mission that killed Osama Bin Laden.
