Bosley's held an auction of collectible militaria on Wednesday (March 3) this week.
Three shoulder belt plates were among the most successful pieces:
A 29th (Worcestershire) Regiment Officer s shoulder belt plate circa 1832-55 (est £600-800) sold for £1,900.
A 36th (Herefordshire) Regiment Officer s shoulder belt plate circa 1825-33 (est £600-800) brought £1,850.
Last, but not least, a Scottish. 3rd Foot Guards Georgian Officer s shoulder belt plate circa 1810-25 (est £800-1,000 - the type worn at Waterloo) achieved £2,000.
The sale took place in Buckinghamshire, UK.
