A 1932 Munich address book which lists Nazi leader Adolf Hitler as a writer has been consigned to Mullock's August 21 auction in Shropshire, UK.

Hitler is listed as a 'schriftsteller', or writer

The book is valued at £4,000-5,000 ($6,158-7,698) and is signed by Hitler himself. The original receipt, dated December 19, 1931, accompanies it.

Also included is a printed circular letter addressed to Hitler, offering various versions of the book, with a further two cards from the publishers also made out to him.

Though not many would have described the fascist dictator as a writer, that is how he is listed on page 143 of the book, following the publication of his semi-autobiographical and ideological work, Mein Kampf.

Hitler had became the leader of the Nazi party in 1921, and its headquarters were still based in Munich at the time of the book's publication. Therefore, some of the most instrumental figures in the Nazi party's initial success will be listed within the address book.

The following year, 1933, Hitler would be appointed chancellor of Germany, allowing him to establish his totalitarian regime.

The book was once part of the personal collection of Annie Brunner, who served as Hitler's housekeeper in Munich. It was among the items disputed by the German government in a high profile court case, yet Brunner manager to retain them as they were given to her as gifts by the dictator.

A 1941 Mercedes-Benz 540K owned by Luftwaffe chief Hermann Goering has recently been discovered in North Carolina, and is undergoing restoration before a planned auction.
