Early Nordenfelt machine gun valued at $87,000

Have you got room for an early machine gun in your house?

Then this Nordenfelt .43 (Spanish) ten-barrelled centre-fire mechanical gun may be of interest.

The British Navy used the Nordenfelt machine gun in Egypt up until the 1890s

The lot will highlight a sale of Antique and Modern Firearms from the Daedalus Collection at Bonhams in London on December 1, with an estimate of £50,000-70,000 ($62,386-87,314).

The Nordenfelt was created by Swedish inventor Heldge Palmcrantz in the early 1870s.

It's capable of firing a devastating 900 rounds per minute.

Only three examples of the gun survive. The other two are held in museums, making this the only one on the private market.
