A collection of seven second world war medals awarded to bomb disposal expert Wing Commander Leonard Harrison sold at Dix Noonan Webb in London on February 25.

The lot beat its £100,000 ($140,195) estimate by 20% to achieve £120,000 ($168,234).
Harrison took part in a series of operations, including the virtuosic disarming of a sea mine attached to a fishing trawler on Good Friday 1940 - for which he was awarded the George Cross included in yesterday's lot.
The sale also includes a 1977 Jubilee medal and a 1918-1962 General Service medal.
