RM Sotheby’s September 6 London sale was a suitably spectacular affair, with a unique blue 2004 Ferrari Enzo achieving a solid £1.8m ($2.3m).
The Enzo was designed by ex-Pininfarina head Ken Okuyama.
Only 449 Enzos were ever made
Only 449 were ever built, with the majority being offered to previous buyers of the F40 (1987-1992) and F50 (1995-1997).
It’s among the highest performance models issued by Ferrari in recent years, capable of speeds up to 221mph.
This car was originally shipped in a different shade – a unique blend called matt Titanio Extra Campionario.
That was changed to Blu Tour de France when it was acquired by a new owner in 2008. With just 5,520 miles on the clock, it’s got plenty of life left in it.
