Collectors are bracing themselves for Rétromobile in Paris this Friday, February 3. Classic car highlights at the event include this ex-Roger Vadim 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Spider California.
The car's estimate is available on request. But it will certainly be well into six figures, if not more.
Vadim led quite a life. He directed the classic 1968 film Barbarella, enjoyed marriages to Brigitte Bardot, Annette Strøyberg and Jane Fonda, and had a relationship with Catherine Deneuve.
He later wrote a book about his love affairs, entitled "Bardot, Deneuve, Fonda: My Life With The Three Most Beautiful Women In The World".

This 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Spider California was among Vadim's favourite classic cars. Often ridden by himself with Bardot or Strøyberg, it was a popular sight around his homes of Paris and St Tropez.
The Ferrari was later owned by French collector and Ferrari fanatic Jean-Claude Bajol. It is one of a number of cars auctioning from Bajol's estate in Paris.Others cars for sale include a 1964 Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato (estimated at €100,000-140,000), a striking red 1960 Maserati 3500 GT Spyder Vignale with factory hard-top (€200,000-300,000), and an alloy-bodied 1967 Bizzarrini 5300 GT Berlinetta Strada (€320,000-420,000).
You can see Roger Vadim's 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Spider California for yourself in the above video, as the auctioneer drives the classic motor around the streets of Paris.
