RM is the classic car auctioneer that keeps on giving, with a sale of classic and muscle cars set to take place in San Diego.
And among the auction's highlights is this rare and beautiful 70 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Convertible - billed by RM as "the ultimate in Chevrolet muscle and style."

When Motor Trend tested one of these cars, they simply referred to it as an "Earth Mover", thanks to the big block LS6 V8 engine under its hood producing 450hp.
What's more, the LS6 in this 1970 update - the Chevelle first appeared way back in 1964 - is more than adequately supported with a robust body-on-frame construction and 112-inch wheelbase.

Chevrolet only built about 4,400 LS6 powered vehicles in 1970 - and this example was one of an estimated 18 models ever built.
This high-quality classic restoration will be sold with its original build sheet, Protect-O-Plate and owner's manual.
It will auction without reserve in San Diego on June 19.
