An Indianapolis 500-winning IndyCar is set to roar across the auction block at Gooding & Company, as part of a forthcoming sale in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Andretti Autosport car was driven to victory in 2014 by Ryan Hunter-Reay, and remains a still-active part of the team established by racing legend Michael Andretti. It will be offered for sale with an estimated price of $600,000-$750,000.

"Millions of fans around the world witnessed a legendary finish in 2014 as Ryan claimed victory and became the first American in eight years to win the Indy 500," said Douglas Boles, president, Indianapolis Motor Speedway. "The chance to own Ryan's winning car, an iconic piece of racing history, is a priceless opportunity."
The car is set to be raced by the team until the end of the 2018 season, when it will be fully restored and delivered to its new owner. But in the meantime, the winning bidder will have the chance to watch their car in action from the best seats in the house.
In addition to the car, they'll receive VIP credentials and team hospitality passes granting gate, garage, and limited pit access, giving them the chance to experience the racing season as a member of the Andretti Autosport team.
The lot also includes four single-event VIP guest credentials and team hospitality passes for every IndyCar race of the season, including the Grand Prix of Indianapolis and Indianapolis 500.
"The opportunity to auction off our 2014 Indy 500 winning - and still active - race car and provide the winning bidder with an immersive ownership experience with our team delivers a great way to celebrate an iconic moment in our team's history as we prepare for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500," said Michael Andretti, president, chairman and CEO, Andretti Autosport.
Gooding & Company's Scottsdale sale takes place on January 29-30.
