A quick scour of the Classic Cars markets reveals this pre-war Dodge D2 Coupe from 1936, currently for sale in the UK.
The red right-hand-drive model was imported from its native Australia back in 2006 and subsequently treated to a meticulous restoration.
While the quality of the paint and finish can often spoil restored cars of this era, according to the seller there are very few contaminants in the paint, which boats a thick lacquer and deep lustre.
Elsewhere, there is evidence that the car's shiny trim has been removed, re-chromed and refitted - not surprising as the car's most recent owner bought it as a Dodge research and restoration project.

As a result, the car has been restored as close to its original specification as possible. Prior to this, it is believed to have been commissioned by dealer Harden and Johnston in Sydney and sold as new.
Body number of 461 of just 500 made, this exceptionally rare car - full title: 1936 Dodge Brothers RS/Super Touring Coupe "Beauty Winner Six" - is for sale in Oxford, UK priced
Its history file contains MOT's from the date of import, along with all the import documents, previous tax discs and photographs.
