RM Auctions' quickly-approaching 14th annual Amelia Island auction on March 10 includes a nice surprise in addition to its wealth of blue chip classic cars.
El Chesney is recognised as one of the foremost female collectors of antique automobiles in the United States. Ms Chesney's highly coveted Lalique Mascot Collection will appear for sale in the Amelia Island auction as a single lot.
The collection includes three complete sets of 30 mascots, as featured in the 1932 Lalique catalogue. The rarest Lalique of them all, 'Le Renard' (The Fox), one of just seven known to exist, is expected to be the sale's star attraction.

Whether sculpting automobile mascots, vases, perfume bottles, chandeliers, unique items of jewellery or crystal clocks, Lalique's masterful ability created - and still creates - awe among collectors.
The lucky winning bidder will receive the collection in two large display cases, each custom made for the collection.
"In the past, Lalique mascots have been hotly contested at auction, attracting strong prices," a spokesperson for RM Auctions told Paul Fraser Collectibles.
"We have received strong interest in the upcoming offering, which is estimated to fetch between $800,000 - $1,200,000."
