Bruce Willis's cars to auction in Vegas

Three cars from the personal collection of Hollywood star Bruce Willis will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company's 2nd Annual Collector Car Auction in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.

The sale will take place between October 7-10, 2009.

The automobiles from Willis's collection will be among 400 collector vehicles to appear at the Las Vegas event at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

The star will sell his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 and 1988 Lincoln Limousine - each with no reserve.

Willis's Copper Maroon 1967 Corvette convertible has a powerful 427 c.i.d., 435 horsepower Tri-Power engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. Tri-Power Corvettes are considered the most sought-after versions by collectors.

The actor was bought the car in El Paso, Texas while he was filming the movie Last Man Standing.

The 1968 Pontiac Firebird is a remarkably personal inclusion in the sale - Willis reportedly used to drive it with his father around his hometown of Penns Grove, New Jersey.

Finally, the dark blue 1988 Lincoln Limousine was used to take Willis to filming sets for his early roles in the TV series Moonlighting and his blockbuster film Die Hard.

The sale is an unmissable event for car collectors and Hollywood memorabilia buffs alike.
