A 1985 Audi Quattro has set a new world record for the model at Bonhams' Goodwood Members' Meeting sale.
The Audi Quattro Sport SWB Coupe sold for £287,100 ($428,663) on March 21 to provide one of the headlines of the inaugural auction. Its standing as one of the six original "Sports" delivered to the UK - and one of only 214 in existence - ensured a strong price.

Audi made its Quattro between 1980 and 1991, bringing four-wheel drive to the public.
Also crossing the block was an ex-works, 1982 Audi Quattro A1 Group B Rally Car, driven by Hannu Mikkola to the 1983 World Drivers' Championship title.
It sold for £253,480 ($378,313).
Bonhams' international motoring director, James Knight, remarked: "A noticeable demand for sports cars of the 1980s has been evident at our inaugural event, complementing the more modern cars competing at the meeting."
Motorsport fans also ensured a 1975 Ford Escort RS1800 Rally Car made £85,500 ($127,535).
A 1959 Frazer Nash Le Mans Coupe from the collection of Kitty Nash sold for £470,000 ($701,464) to provide the top lot.
The event was the first of three Bonhams auctions at Goodwood this year. Next up is the Festival of Speed Sale on June 26.
