The world's first hatchback car, the Aston Martin DB2/4, will be among many highlights at RM Auctions' September 8 sale in London.
|
The DB2/4 went into production in 1953, boasting a dual overhead straight-6 engine designed by WO Bentley.
The example at auction has recently been restored, yet its metalwork has been left exposed, leaving the new owner with the rare choice of respraying or keeping its bare look.
This model was entered into two Mille Miglia competitions in its day, and is therefore eligible to compete in the modern event.
