A 1995 Porsche 962 K8 Spyder will feature in Mecum Auctions' Monterey sale on August 14-16.
The car placed first in the 1995 24 Hours of Daytona event, finishing an impressive 45 laps ahead of rivals Ferrari. Erwin and Manfred Kremer, two of Porsche's most successful racing engineers, were behind the winning design.
It was later raced at the Sebring 12 Hours and the Le Mans 24 Hours, although failed to match its phenomenal first victory. After a stint in the FIA's SportsRacing World Cup in Europe, it was bought by a collector and repainted in its original colours.
We have Paul Newman's personally owned racing jacket available.
