A 1987 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth hatchback is expected to make £33,000-38,000 ($52,675-60,657) at Bonhams' car sale at the Great Yorkshire Showground on November 12.

The Sierra was produced in a batch of 5,000 units in order to meet Group A motorsport standards. Of these, 500 were earmarked as RS500s and built to deliver a boost in bhp, giving Ford the edge in touring competitions.
The present lot has passed through the hands of four owners and racked up 50,424 miles. It's in almost entirely original condition, save for the addition of a stainless steel exhaust system.
