A 1957 Porsche 356A Carrera Speedster GS/GT is expected to make £900,000-1m ($1.1m-1.2m) in Bonhams’ upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed sale.
The 356A Carrera was designed as a rally car
The model debuted in 1954. It was originally designed as a rally racer and instantly proved its worth by powering to victory in the 1954 Liege-Rome-Liege race.
This is one of around 159 Carreras built between 1955 and 1959. It’s also one of three to have been configured to right hand drive.
A 1956 Porsche 356A Carrera Speedster realised $891,000 at Bonhams last year.
The auction is due to take place at the legendary Goodwood racetrack in Chichester, UK on June 30.
