A 1950 Berlin III speedboat, featuring a BMW 328 engine, will be among the star attractions at an upcoming auction dedicated to European engineering.
The $239,567-346,041-estimated machine, showcasing coachwork by Kurt Gersch, will feature at Bonhams' sale in Knokke-Le-Zoute, Belgium on October 11.

Classic motor boats have a history of performing well at auction. At the head of the line is the famous Riva Aquarama. First produced in 1962, less than 1,000 of the Italian machines have ever been built. Consequently, they can achieve up to $1m.
Earlier this year, a luxury yacht, which was previously used to smuggle cocaine into the UK, auctioned for £176,000 ($276,766).
It is the first time Bonhams has come to the Belgian seaside town, which is hosting the Zoute Concours d'Elegance and Zoute Grand Prix Rally during the same weekend.
Classic cars form the majority of lots, with a 1954 Ferrari 212/250, featuring coachwork by Pininfarina, set to arrive with a $1.2m-high estimate, while a 1957 Maserati A6G/54 with Allemano coachwork holds an $865,130 valuation.
Philip Kantor, the head of Bonhams' mainland European motoring department, commented: "Following the success of our inaugural sale at the Spa Classic in May, we are delighted to be heading to Knokke-Le-Zoute for the second of our two new auctions in Belgium this year.
"Our Spa sale was well attended by a large crowd of bidders and onlookers, and realised €3.4m [$4.5m], with strong prices achieved for a number of motor cars. We hope for another pleasing result at this sale."
