A rare 1941 Kozy Coach travel trailer achieved $99,000 in RM Sotheby’s Santa Monica auction over the weekend.
The model was built in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

It’s executed in the streamline modern style and features its original wooden interior, as well as other period details.
The outer shell is constructed from Masonite, as most metals were requisitioned for the war effort. As you might expect, very few of these wartime models were ever made.
They’re highly collectible today.
This example has undergone a complete restoration, which includes a stunning red and black paint job.
