1928 Ahrens Fox fire truck makes $125,000 at Heritage Auctions

A 1928 Ahrens Fox fire truck headlined the sale of the Glen Reid Collection of Mechanical Models at Heritage Auctions in Dallas on May 28.

The lot, which has been fully restored with original period features and equipment, even down to period ladders and buckets, achieved $125,000.

The Ahrens Fox fire truck was built for a Maine fire department in 1928

It was originally built for the Biddeford, Maine fire department and in recent years has featured extensively in classic car shows, including the Meadowbrook Concours d'Elegance in Michigan.
