An enormous single owner collection of Alice in Wonderland memorabilia achieved £70,000 ($88,000) at Mallams on February 8.
The auction included a number of Lewis Carroll's logic puzzles
It consisted of around 3,000 items (split into 300 lots) around the theme of Lewis Carroll’s most famous work.
The auction house explained the sale included “the first opportunity to view the collection in its entirety - the myriad books, porcelain, artwork, posters, toys, dolls and ephemera that have surrounded the cult of Alice since the earliest years.
“They range from the rare and academically important to the downright bizarre.”
