A guestbook from the legendary El Morocco supper club has sold for $5,938 at Doyle New York, headlining a sale of items belonging to owner John Perona on September 16.
It beat its $3,000 estimate by 97.9%.

The club was one of the hottest tickets of the 1930s, welcoming some of the biggest stars of the era through its doors.
The book, titled The El Morocco Family Album, features signatures from the likes of Marlene Dietrich, Gloria Swanson and William K Vanderbilt.
