On August 7 in New York, Swann Galleries will hold a two-session auction of "chilling" propaganda posters from WWI and WWII.

The unsettling propaganda posters are offset by a series of beach holiday and tourism posters

The auction will be led by the powerful Dear God Keep Them Safe/Buy War Bonds and Stamps poster, which was issued by Kroger grocery stores and shows children wearing gasmasks. It is valued at $15,000-20,000.

Also starring is James Montgomery Flagg's iconic I Want You poster, which is estimated at $7,000-10,000.

The gloomy propaganda session will be offset by a large selection of posters for beach and summer resorts, as well as classic American posters for Buffalo Bill.
