An exhibition of the works of Sir Peter Blake, the pre-eminent English pop artist, has arrived in Paul Fraser Collectibles' hometown of Bristol.
Blake is best-known for his design of the sleeve to The Beatles' 1967 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP (the cover of which happens to feature the fourth most expensive piece of music memorabilia on today's global market).
The sale exhibition showcases Blake's trademark mixture of pop iconography and vintage advertising - reminiscent of Andy Warhol's similar forays - wrapped in pop art, collages and surrealism.

Highlights in the sale include Marilyn Monroe Black (priced at �3,100) and the artwork Got A Girl, featuring Elvis Presley alongside Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell (�3,250). One copy of each is available to buyers.
Other works in the sale which might catch the eye of interested collectors include Blake's depiction of the Eiffel Tower surrounded by butterflies (Eiffel Tower, �1,750) and On The Beach, a Dadaist collage featuring period costumed society couples holidaying alongside tribesmen (�1,365).
The exhibition, at the Innocent Fine Art gallery in Clifton Village, Bristol, began on February 27 and continues until March 27.
