A Christie's auction of South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art will present 91 works from leading 20th-21st century artists from South Asia, India and Pakistan.
It takes place in New York on March 23.
The sale aims to showcase a variety of different movements and styles among the lots, including works by modern masters Vasudeo S Gaitonde, Maqbool Fida Husain, Akbar Padamsee, and Francis Newton Souza.
Works by leading contemporary artists such as Atul Dodiya and TV Santhosh, among others, will also feature.

Highlights in the auction include Syed Haider Raza's Gestation, 1989.
Raza's painting depicts an arrangement of shapes and earthy colours, seamlessly merging the artist's characteristic horizontal bonds with elegantly-designed, rhythmic angles.
It is one of the finest and most striking examples of painting in his oeuvre, according to experts, and carries an estimate of $600,000-800,000.
Elsewhere, German auction house Zemanek-Munster will hold its 60th Tribal Art Auction on March 13. African masks, sculptures and other treasured artefacts will feature in the sale.
