Power's Tube station print to auction for $93,000?

Tube Station, a limited edition print by English artist Cyril Edward Power, is to cross the auction block at Bonhams London on July 16.

Cyril Power The Tube Station auction
The stylised print conveys something of the mechanised tumult that colours the urban experience

Estimated at £40,000-60,000 ($62,000-93,000), the linocut is numbered 49/60 in pencil.

Whence and Whither, a modernist lino-print by Power, brought £97,250 ($149,021) to Bonhams in April 2013.

The dramatic print, which features floods of people descending into London Underground's subterranean underworld, communicates something of the uniformity and monotony inherent in the daily commute.

A second version of the artist's Tube Station, numbered 60/60, made £61,250 ($93,852) at the same sale.
