Peter Hujar's Candy Darling on Her Deathbed will star in an auction of photographs at Bonhams.

Candy Darling appeared in two Andy Warhol films

Candy Darling was a transgender actor affiliated with Andy Warhol's Factory collective.

She is best remembered for her roles in Warhol's films Flesh (1968) and Women in Revolt (1971).

This image was taken while she was dying from cancer in 1974, at the age of 29.

Hujar was also involved with the Factory and is best known for his candid portraits of his friends in the New York underground.

The lot is valued at $15,000-25,000 ahead of the April 26 sale.
