Two comic worlds collide on August 7-9 in Dallas, as Heritage Auctions offers a comic strip featuring both Peanuts' Charlie Brown and Mad magazine's Alfred E Neuman.

Created by Peanuts illustrator Charles Schulz, the comic strip is warmly inscribed to Mad editor Al Feldstein and arrives from his personal collection. It comes complete with the original envelopes from Schulz to Feldstein from 1973.
Charles Schulz (1922-2000) is hugely collectible as the creator of the most widely-read comic in history, with Peanuts appearing in over 2,000 newspapers worldwide.
The combination of his central character, Charlie Brown, with the unforgettable Mad mascot, Alfred E Neuman, is sure to drive collectors to offer huge bids come sale day.
The strip sees Charlie Brown apprehensively waiting for the sun to rise, but he is instead greeted by the head of Neuman along with his catchphrase "What! Me Worry?"

Also featuring in the sale is the cover of Carload o' Comics by counterculture artist Robert Crumb, whose work is gaining popularity among collectors following Heritage's Zap Comix auction earlier this year.
Crumb created the present piece in 1976 for his first anthology. It features his best-loved characters.
