An impressive wrought iron
standard lamp in 'the manner
of Edgar Brandt'

A number of rare and collectible art deco specimens will feature, including an impressive wrought iron standard lamp in 'the manner of Edgar Brandt'.

Brandt, a French ironworker, was best known as a prolific weapons designer - particularly of mortars - during World War II.

Prior to that, his business, Établissements Brandt, based in Paris since 1902, produced ironwork and light armaments.

His important work is the inspiration behind this impressive and unique lamp.

It promises to light up the auction with an estimate of £4,000-5,000.

Elsewhere, an antique miniature walnut cased longcase clock which stands 62" tall will also feature.

Its sale value is estimated at £2,500-3,500.

Over 900 lots will be included in the sale, which takes place in Birmingham, UK.
