The Art Institute of Chicago will play host to the Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity exhibition on the final stop of its world tour.

The show, which is now open and runs until September 22, celebrates the fashions seen in impressionist works of the 19th century and the influence that artists had on the stylish elite of the time.
The exhibition is expected to be a major boost to the institute, after it broke all attendance records at Paris' Musee d'Orsay following its opening in October 2012. It has since been hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Collectors have the opportunity to buy a piece of impressionist fashion at Heritage Auctions, which is holding a sale dedicated to the personal memorabilia of Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
Paul Fraser Collectibles has some fantastic impressionist collectibles for sale, including signed letters from Renoir and Monet, as well as a signed postcard from Picasso's Blue Period.
