October 18 will see more offerings from the Charles L Howard collection of important illustration art, highlighted by a Howard Pyle fairytale illustration.
The Florida sale will star 200 lots from Howard's remarkable collection, which features some of the finest political, editorial and comic illustrations from before the second world war.
The first part of Howard's collection was offered by the same auction house in August, with a 1937 Tarzan comic strip selling as top lot.

Topping the current auction will be an original Howard Pyle illustration of a sleeping giant with a boy sounding a horn, which the auction house describes as a "major find".
Pyle is often regarded as one of the fathers of American illustration, and like many of the nation's top illustrators - such as Norman Rockwell - his work was frequently published in Harper's Weekly.
Pyle was perhaps best known for his illustrations of fairy tales, most notably The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood. The example of his work at auction is a brilliant original pen and ink drawing with traces of gouache, that has been monogrammed by the artist. It will sell with a $5,000-7,000 estimate.
Also featuring is a 1931 Popeye and Olive Oyl four-panel comic strip, created by EC Segar. The artist has signed the strip with his name above a drawing of a cigar, a common trait of his work which is said to have arisen from confusion around how to pronounce his name. An early strip showing a now legendary character, it is expected to bring $3,000-5,000.
Paul Fraser Collectibles also has a fantastic selection of comic art currently available, including an EH Shepard signed drawing for the political magazine Punch.
