An original page from Herge's Tintin and the Blue Lotus is to cross the block at Artcurial in Paris, in collaboration with Spink.
The lot is expected to sell for $1.1m-1.6m on October 5-6.
The auction house explains: "This drawing [is] one of the finest examples of what can be achieved using the ligne claire style and the only original from this legendary album still in private handsǪ
"This illustration epitomises one of Tintin's finest adventures, but also the whole of the 1930s, a period during which Herg? established the foundations of the comic strip."
In 2014 a page of illustrations by Herge sold for $3.7m at Artcurial, a new world record for original comic book art.
